I researched Consumer Reports on getting my first ever e-bike, and the Heybike City Run received an excellent review there. It was the top-scoring recommended Class 2 e-bike by Consumer Reports. I like that it has above average range in miles, that the battery is removable, and dang! it looks good! I loved it that Heybike offers the Honey Orange choice of color. So when I went to the Heybike website and found out that they were selling the bike at 70% of the price listed at Consumer Reports (100% of which I already was willing to pay), that sealed the deal for me, and off I sent for it. And then, I was so delighted with the e-bike I got! The acceleration and hill climb with pedal assist was superb, and so was the smooth handling. It was sturdy, and I felt secure and safe riding it. I loved all the instrumentation, and the fact that it is Bluetooth-connectible to a Heybike phone app. I also bought from Heybike a helmet (so comfortable and light), and an extremely useful metal basket which I attached to the rear. Confident and very satisfied customer over here!

1 upon receipt impossible to mount the rear rack the screw holes are not threaded
The seat was pierced it was replaced free of charge the computer screen was also replaced free of charge in the first days of receiving the bike.
The screw that holds the seat broke in the first days it was also replaced free of charge the replacement screw broke during installation I had to go buy another hardened steel screw this one has been holding the neck for 20 months
After 1,800 miles (2,800 Km) the battery suddenly died the last 30 mile (50km) ride everything is fine the next ride after 23 months of use I can only do 3 miles (5 Km) on a full charge. I contact support they ask me to do several tests which I do. Result the battery is no longer good and I am told that it is no longer guaranteed I am offered to buy another one. Being part of a group of cyclists, several have batteries of more than 5 or 6 years and continue to do the hikes with the same bikes so you have to think before choosing this manufacturer. Especially since the correspondence with the support group writes that I am making a request after 3 years it seems that the years of use of this company have fewer months than on our calendars

Getting older sucks. And bike riding became harder and harder to get motivated to do. We bought a pair of Heybikes Cityrun for Christmas with the intent to use them when we camp. But we couldn’t wait! Even in the cold we are riding around our neighborhood. We have only had them a month and we are looking forward to warmer weather! Go ride a bike!
